PREPARATION AND PROSECUTION OF U.S.
& INTERNATIONAL PATENT APPLICATIONS

We work closely with our inventors to identify, claim, and write about their patentable inventions. Each patent application is carefully crafted. And, patent applications are peer reviewed in our firm prior to inventors reviewing them to ensure quality. This way, we minimize the intrusion on our inventors’ very valuable time.

Because of our knowledge, experience, and technological expertise, we are able to draft strong patent applications. But, preparing and filing the patent application is just the first step in the process. Once a patent application is filed, it is examined at the U.S. Patent Office. During this “prosecution” of the application, an examiner at the U.S. Patent Office will search for prior art that may be used to reject the patent application. We are very skilled and successful in overcoming rejections during examination. To date, Duft & Bornsen, PC has successfully procured over 1,000 patents, securing strong patent protection for our client’s intellectual property.
